Give Thanks
If you're like me you live for the holiday season. It's that time of year that brings family together, let's you stuff your face with endless amounts of food, and well, it gives you an excuse for a new outfit — It's important to let those distant aunts know you're doing well in life by looking a little extra.
This year I was feeling inspired by one of my favorite 90's films, Clueless, of course. I'm pretty sure I'm the 2017 version of Cher Horowitz (for casting please email). Gingham skirts are one of my favorite styles on trend right now. I've been on the hunt for the perfect one for a while, and when I found this I had to get it... It has pockets! I kept it classic and paired it with a tan crewneck sweater. But, this skirt is so versatile you can dress it down with a basic white tee and sneakers.
It's not really 90s if you didn't wear those staple thigh high socks, am I right? I put more energy into finding these socks the night before Thanksgiving, you would have thought I was shopping for the last Turkey. After looking at almost every store, I took to Google and found these gems at Kohls (7 dollars, what a steal!). Again, I grabbed my favorite booties and headed into the family festivities in style.
The skirt can be found at Urban Outfitters, the sweater is Brandy Melville, and the thigh-high socks are from Kohls.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving beautiful people! Now, let's go try some stuff on.
