Roses are Red...Tulips are too

Nothing says I love you, you're beautiful, and one of a kind like flowers do — It really is the little things people. Who's better to remind myself of that, than me? In this season of gift giving sometimes you need to treat yourself.

So, when I saw these tulips at the store I had to get them. Plus, they were the perfect red and green to put me in that Christmas spirit. I must have a subconscious obsession with this holiday, because I found myself wanting to dress in red. 

If you're like me you get a little nervous to wear anything that could get you mistaken for a Christmas ornament, or Santa's helper this time of year. Ya feel?

But this red and black printed blouse was perfect for my mood. I paired it with black light washed denim mom jeans...I LOVE mom jeans, especially these ones. I found these bad boys on a clearance rack, and they happened to be the very last pair. I was certain that they weren't going to fit... but then I had to remember the motto that I live by. So I said to myself "Lyss, try it on" and just like that they were the perfect fit!

To dress this look down, I threw on my classic black and white converse. I'm pretty sure we all have had these at one point in our lives. What's great about this outfit is it's super versatile, it's very daytime but can easily be turned into a cute night out with maybe a leather jacket and some booties. 

Now, I encourage you to get yourself's up and go out and treat yourself with some lovely flowers.
